Yahoo Launch – has hundreds of music videos you can watch while online. You can also listen to your own customized radio station. It has a Top 100 List that is created by the listeners. You can check out your favorite artist’s page that has their biography, pictures, watch some interviews and much more. While listening to your music, you can also play games at yahoo.com too.

eMusic – is a large retailer of independent music offering more than 2 million tracks from more than 13,000 independent labels spanning every genre of music. This is a program that you download to your computer and you pay $9.99 for 40 songs a month. There are over 500,000 songs to choose from. You can choose 3 different types of subscription programs. You can put your mp3s to your mp3 player or burn them to a CD. The only problem is that eMusic only carries independent labels.

uPlayMe – is free software that works with your media player like windows media player, iTunes, Winamp, (and many more in the future) and then tells you by sending an alert message to your desktop that someone else is playing the same song or video you just played. Then you can speak with each other through anonymous e-mails, instant messages or social network sites like MySpace.com.  uPlayMe helps people find friends, new songs and new videos! It is probably not hard to imagine that finding someone who likes and plays music by Duran Duran, U2, OutKast, or Madonna might create an even deeper relationship.

DotTunes – allows you share your iTunes music securely with friends, family and clients across the internet. Publish any number of Artists, Albums, Playlists or even your entire iTunes Music Library with 1-Click, then listen to your music via your web browser, Sony PSP or web enabled phone.

NetMusic – is a digital download and streaming service. We get 65 cents per downloaded song. Entire-album downloads usually retail at $9.99.

Sonific – makes your music available for promotional streaming (full-length songs) on a quickly growing network that spans 10s of millions of potential users. Every presentation of your music will include a link to your Sonific artist page, where interested users can look into buying your music, check out your websites or blogs, or just find out more about you.

The Raft.Com – is a cool site for music videos and music webcasts. In addition, you can win contests for free tickets and other goodies. This site is sponsored by Virgin Records, part of EMI Recordings.

Kazaa  – is a program you download to your computer. It is a file sharing program. You can download music, games, videos, and much more. Goombah – is an application that scans your iTunes library and connects you with like minded users.

AudioLunchbox – strives to make the purchase of digital music quick, easy and affordable. When you download from the site, your music files are not restricted by DRM (Digital Rights Management). Do with them as you please, as long as it’s for personal use.

Jamendo – is a new model for artists to promote, publish, and be paid for their music. On jamendo, the artists distribute their music under Creative Commons licenses. In a nutshell, they allow you to download, remix and share their music freely. Jamendo users can discover and share albums, but also review them or start a discussion on the forums. Albums are democratically rated based on the visitors’ reviews.
